This sixteen-acre stretch of Barbados's west coast in St Peter — just north of Port St Charles, near Speightstown — has operated for years as Port Ferdinand, a residential marina community. It is now being redeveloped and reopened under the Pendry flag as Pendry Barbados and Pendry Residences Barbados, targeted for 2026. Reporting indicates the new configuration will sit directly on the beach rather than only along the marina — a significant repositioning on the Platinum Coast. This is an independent read.

Reported plans include roughly 74–80 guestrooms and around 46 residences, an 111-berth marina, Spa Pendry with seven treatment rooms, a fitness centre, a kids' club and several dining concepts. This is Pendry's first international resort. Sources vary on exact counts. Figures circulating for the former Port Ferdinand — roughly US$2.6M–US$3.9M from 2021–22 resale listings — describe the PREVIOUS property under the previous brand, and are no longer a valid guide.

A brand change here is not cosmetic. Pendry brings an operating standard and a recognisable flag that helps at resale, where the predecessor was essentially independent. The bigger shift is the move onto the beach: on the Platinum Coast, beachfront versus near-beach is one of the largest single determinants of value. If it delivers as described, this is a genuine repositioning upward — and it is why the old pricing is not a useful anchor.
